Linda Crisafulli, Director

Linda Crisafulli graduated from the Northwestern University School of Music-BM in Music Education and a MM in Flute Performance. She has taught the flute for over 50 years at all levels including at Valparaiso University, Indiana. While living in the Chicago area, she played in many ensembles including symphony orchestras, wind ensembles, woodwind quintets, a professional flute ensemble, and gave recitals with her husband, Peter. In 1988 Mrs. Crisafulli moved to the DC area to become the flute instructor at the National Cathedral School. Retiring after 26 years she also maintained studios at All Saints Church, Chevy Chase, MD, and at home in Gaithersburg. For 5 years she was also active as a teacher/conductor in the Gaithersburg Flute Camp summer programs. In 2001, the Music Director of the Potomac Valley Youth Orchestra asked her to start an auditioned flute choir which she conducted for 14 years. During that time she also became the Music Director/Conductor of Flutes on the Brink. This year marks her 10th season with this organization. For extra fun she sings in her church choir.
